Privacy notice
The short version: we collect very little, we use it only to reply to you and to run our business, and we never sell it. The longer version follows.
Who we are
This website is run by Avientiq Labs Ltd ("Avientiq Labs", "we", "us"), a company based in Limassol, Cyprus. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us about anything privacy related at info@avientiq.com.
What we collect
We only collect personal data you choose to send us:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, company name if you give it, the service you are interested in, a rough budget if you choose one, and your message.
- Email. Whatever you include when you write to us directly, along with your email address.
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking. Our hosting provider keeps server logs for a short time, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis under the GDPR |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and preparing a proposal | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Delivering and invoicing work if you become a client | Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations such as accounting and tax records (Article 6(1)(c)) |
| Keeping the website secure | Our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and visitors (Article 6(1)(f)) |
We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them, and we never sell or rent personal data.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
- Our email provider, which stores the messages we send and receive.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under EU law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months of our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as Cypriot law requires, and no longer than we need them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to restrict or stop using your data, or object to how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email info@avientiq.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus at dataprotection.gov.cy, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
We protect personal data with access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where our providers support it, and by keeping only what we need. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with the same care we take with our clients' systems.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
